Project Size: 18,000 Sf
Spectacular views of Manhattan from this Jersey City high-rise were the inspiration for the design of this space. Torus goal was to consolidate two levels of disconnected space into one larger floor plate. The design was predicated on allowing full through views right from the entry door to the window wall facing NYC. Full glass fronts incorporating sliding glass doors were created along office fronts. Furniture was designed to create viewpoints. Design incorporated new workarea thinking such as touch-down stations, integrated flat screen conf. tables, varying height stations, and long term planning to eliminate storage-file units as the office goes paperless. The entire space allows full views in all directions, flooding space with daylight.
