As an international retail brand with sophisticated marketing focused on wellness, Vitamin Shoppe needed a new headquarters for an expanding staff that infused their brand’s goals into their space. Kimmerle Newman designed Vitamin Shoppe’s headquarters with a strong geometric rotation of the plan, generating neighborhood workplaces.  With open kitchens and breakout spaces,  healthy food and  fitness is integrated in the space along with alternative, high productivity ergonomic positions within the workstation.

Vitamin Shoppe had outgrown their existing headquarters facility, a combined office and distribution facility that in parts was generic and unhealthy. Kimmerle Newman designed and executed Vitamin Shoppe’s new headquarters around the company’s core goals, in the face of unexpected real estate challenges: days from a signed lease with plans completed, bid, and ready to build, the real estate deal was pulled by their prospective landlord. Quick response by the broker & design team identified a nearby location and executed a new lease and construction documents. Overnight, months of programming and concept development were adapted to the new site, and owing to KNA’s close relationships with Meadowlands authorities, permits were obtained in record time. With Kimmerle Workspace managing FFE purchases, furniture specifications were seamlessly updated overnight and additional delays avoided.

Vitamin Shoppe is already partially moved into their new three-floor space in a pre-planned, floor by floor phasing that was designed from the start.
