47-11 Austell Place

Originally developed in 1916, 47-11 Austell Place features high ceilings, oversized industrial windows and exceptional views of the Manhattan skyline – complemented by a desirable transit infrastructure and proximity to the Queens-Midtown Expressway. The design team will apply modern touches to the historic building while retaining the structure’s sense of nostalgia and raw industrial aesthetics.

The renovation and design of Austell Place represents a significant milestone in the Long Island City neighborhood revitalization. Located in Sunnyside Yards, one of the largest undeveloped parcels in New York City, the project is transforming the historic structure into a creatively designed Class A office space and ground floor retail. The renovation and expansion will include a complete, bottom-up restoration, and the incorporation of open, spacious roof terraces and amenity areas, which sits adjacent to the NYC Subway’s revamped 7 Line
