MARKET SIGNIFICANCE:
The RealReal is a global reseller of luxury fashion brands with their services ranging from taking initial possession of an item, to authentication, to pricing, listing, and selling. This process requires a significant amount of physical space in order to function properly, but also a thoughtful approach to design development, prompting the full conversion of an existing warehouse into a modern distribution center. This project includes offices, multiple level storage warehouses, and authentication, receiving, and shipping areas.
BENCHMARKS:
This project was completed in a total of seven phases of design/construction in order to achieve occupancy as soon as possible, working through each section of the space at a time. KG coordinated closely with the client on special security requirements and specialty industrial designs. Also, LEED standards were used as a guideline to achieve green design.
